Hi, and welcome to Newgrounds! I think you're off to a great start, honestly. You're a very talented artist and I think people will discover your art in no time.
As far as navigating this place goes, I think the most important areas are the front page and the socials feed. The front page gets updated every day with new features, and in the top left corner there's a list of ongoing or upcoming events/collabs/contests. In the socials feed you'll find art and updates from the people you follow. There are also forums where you can talk to others or make your own dedicated sketch thread in the art subforum: https://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/forum/14.
I think this works pretty well as an introduction, but let me know if you have any questions (or ask them on the help subforum: https://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/forum/3)
